I challenged you to set aside some special time this week to spend with the Lord.  This week we will continue talking about how we can discover a new love for God’s word.

A Conscious Choice

“Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God,” King David advised the leaders of Israel (1 Chron. 22:19) 26:9).

We believers must choose whether to pursue God or chase after idols. If we desire intimacy with Him, it is necessary for us to approach spiritual disciplines purposefully.

Here Are Some Examples Of How You Can Purposefully Seek

God In Your Life.

Before opening Scripture, ask the Lord what He wants to say to you.                 

Have a notebook handy to write down scriptures that stand out to you.

Pray to understand His ways—He loves answering that request.

Enter church with the intention of taking home a new truth from the Lord and take notes during service.

Believe that God will transform you as you study and pray His word.

and watch how your life changes over time.

Jesus set aside his Glory for us, so we need to set aside all our excuses to spend

time with Him.
